Life is difficult always, but during pandemic our hearts are stretched to their limits by opposites — from the enormity of suffering to the glory of heroic kindness. On top of this, we have great uncertainty about what lies ahead.

In this 90-min virtual session, we will explore how the common humanity of shared grief and the cultivation of self-care can sustain you in these times of massive change in our lives and world. We will work with meditation, discussion and experiential exercises to explore how softening our hearts to our own pain and the pain of others can make us individually and collectively stronger than ever.

Erika Rosenberg, Ph.D., is co-developer of Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) Program, Founding Faculty at The Compassion Institute, and Consulting Scientist at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain.
