Solange Prat, originally from Bs As, Argentina, has been living in New York City for the past decade, becoming one of the main female voices in the Latin scene with her unique voice and stage presence. After two full albums with the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra, she is now working full time on her solo career and upcoming album. As a songwriter, she is influenced by Latin American rhythms like chacarera, candombe, bossa nova, cumbia, as well as other genres such as soul, funk, R&B and rock. In 2017, she released her first single “Doce Años”, featuring the Latin Grammy winners (2017) Flor de Toloache; and in 2018, she released her single “Dejalo”, cowritten and coproduced with Australian producer Kahil Nayton.

Los Cumpleaños:
With an unmistakable, freewheeling style, Los Cumpleaños mixes tropical rhythms and experimental sounds into an energetic, danceable, one-of-a-kind musical experience. Citing influences as diverse as Colombian accordion legend Lisandro Meza, free jazz iconoclast Sun Ra and genre-defying tastemakers like Flying Lotus and Tame Impala, Los Cumpleaños are en route to creating a sound that is truly original. The band features virtuoso percussionist/vocalist Nestor Gomez from Barranquilla, Colombia, Lautaro Burgos from Chaco, Argentina on Drumset as well as Eric Lane on Keyboards and Alex Asher on Trombone from the USA.

A leading force in the world of global music, DJ Mickey Perez fuses pulsating rhythms from around the world for a truly liberating experience. His depth of musical explorations of the New York Latin scene of the 1960's & 70's Boogaloo, Salsa scene inspired by the discovery of Joe Bataan's "Subway Joe", his influences from his upbringing on Motown, James Brown, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz to the Beatles, The Doors, Wu Tang Clan, ATCQ, all come in to play as does his experiences being fully immersed in the NYC, Chicago, & Detroit underground dance scenes of the 70's & 80's where he began studying the approach & direction of DJ's David Mancuso, Nicky Siano, Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy among others. Mickey's musical tastes continue to grow and that New York Sound he was attempting to create has organically expanded to include indigenous dance music from other distinct parts of the world. such as Colombia, Brasil, Peru, Ecuador, in the Caribbean such as Haiti, Cuba, Cape Verde, Guadeloupe and finally Cape Verde, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, South Africa among the many other musically rich countries throughout Africa. Mickey currently holds down weekly residencies throughout Brooklyn at Black Flamingo in Williamsburg on Wednesdays, Le Boudoir in Brooklyn Heights on Fridays and Sundays at Bembe in Williamsburg.
