@strangeneighborsmusic // Strange Neighbors first unleashed their jangly power pop onto the New York scene in 2018. Taking influence from the power pop and pop punk of the band’s youth, Strange Neighbors are characterized by sparkling guitars, intricate bass lines, rock solid beats and impassioned vocals, a mix of the old and new. Since their formation, Strange Neighbors (Aidan, Tracey, Dana, and Zach) have played at popular New York City haunts like Piano’s, The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, Cobra Club, Arlene’s Grocery, Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory, Sultan Room, and more.
@themme_musics // Established in Astoria, Queens in 2021, THEMME serves up dreamy, shoe-gaze rock with steamy, storytelling lyrics that epitomize queer experiences of their generation. You’re immediately drawn near by the compelling chemistry of these five friends. Dance your way even closer to indulge in their energetic, full band harmonies and stay on your feet to hear the all too relatable stories of passion and pain-- powerfully told through their next number.
@L_Mao @The_Resonaters // “Wolves” is a song questioning what it means to be a human within a society overrun by disinformation. The song “Wolves” is meant to address the current politically polarized country we live in called the “United” States (Ha Ha). “Wolves” also addresses how capitalism is a pillar of many human rights issues intertwined with white supremacy, misogyny, and homophobia. It’s a warning cry that the ruling class cyclically take away the working class’ rights using deception. Come join us in celebrating the "Wolves" single and video release at Rubulad 11/4.

Busking in the streets of New York by day and playing out in the city’s vast DIY scene by night, garage rocker Lily Mao has hammered out a niche in Brooklyn’s indie-rock community with their gritty recordings and vibrant stage personality. The Scranton Pennsylvania native moved to Brooklyn in 2018, where they formed a power trio with producer and bandmate Nate Jasensky and bandmate Gabby Borges-- Lily Mao and The Resonaters. With lyrics that make you think, a soft but sturdy voice that speaks directly to you, and a wall of sound. It's rock, it's singer-songwriter, it's excellent.
