A unique collaborative performance blending music, art, and meditation inspired the Tibetan Buddhist practice of Chöd and the death process described in THE TIBETAN BOOK OF THE DEAD (bar do thos grol), which was later assimilated as THE PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE by Drs. Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner, and Richard Alpert.

Immersive liquid light show by Macrodose with original dharma art films by Arik Moonhawk Roper, as well as new films by Yosuh Jones and Aubrey Nehring.

The practitioner of Chöd seeks to utilize the power of fear to cut through ego-clinging. Machig Labdrön writes,

“… There is no greater devil than this present ego-clinging, and because of this all the devils will rear their ugly heads as long as one has not severed this clinging to ego.”

This event is sound bath style. That means you can sprawl out on the floor. Mats and cushions will not be available. We encourage you to bring your own mat, pillow, and blanket. As well as any offerings of the senses (i.e. food, incense, candles, flowers), for our Psychedelic Buddhism altar installation.
