How to Make a Cape

Historically, capes have been worn by everyone from kings to beggars, at one extreme as a grand flourish and at the other as the most basic, even abject, of dwellings. In contemporary popular culture they are worn mainly by superheroes. Karolyn’s workshop will look at different approaches to creating your own cloak or cape using found and/or new materials. Participants are invited to create their own capes following the workshop.

Materials: For the actual workshop you won’t need a sewing machine or other equipment although you might if you choose to create your own afterwards.
