Description
This workshop focuses on time stretching –– a technique that alters the duration of an audio signal without affecting its pitch –– as a means for sound manipulation and experimentation.
Using Ableton's warp function, you'll learn how to alter the duration of audio sources to synthesize new and unique sounds.
Topics covered include transforming vocal samples, enhancing percussive elements, and the creation of ambient soundscapes and experimental music beds. You'll also discover how to use time stretching to create unusual rhythmic patterns, elongate or shorten sound clips, and manipulate the tonality of a recording.
This workshop is suitable for those with basic knowledge of Ableton Live.
Please note: ticket registration closes 30 minutes prior to event start time.
