Join us for our Intro to Ableton Live workshop. This is a beginner friendly workshop for all those looking to delve into this popular DAW.
A computer is not necessary to attend - you're welcome to watch and learn. That said, you are welcome to bring your own laptop to follow along using your own copy of live or the demo version available for free on Ableton's website. We also have a few library computers but not enough for everyone in attendance, so these are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will have information about how to obtain extended trial licenses as well as 5$ licenses of Ableton live lite, which is relatively full featured and not time-limited like the free trial license.
Topics to be covered:
-What am I looking at? AKA GUI basics
-How to record audio
-How to record write MIDI
-Basic signal processing
-Exporting audio
-Setting Up I/0
-Arm Track To Record
-Punch In/Punch Out
-Take Lanes
