Twig Harper with Lexie Mountain Boys, Tonie Joy and Duncan Moore!

“Me, my system, the output – the holy trinity. Since the pandemic started, I went from using physical objects to computer systems that could be trained. My whole MO has always been: How do I hack something to find the hidden system. The shift in thinking was: focus more on the compositional techniques so the effect of the chaos is more evident. Highlight the system – now, it's not so much about the larger pieces of recognizable music. It's about Irreproducible Activity, the nervous system getting blasted to another dimension. The experience of being thrown into a world where you don’t understand its logic.

Chaos is something baked in: a component. A feature, not a bug, and the antidote for the linear empire of infinite growth. The trickster module. To open up the portal. Y0u think everything is this, laws & regulations, but there are moments that open up and break down.”
