Curious about digging in deeper to self hosted Wordpress? Self Proclaimed Wordpress nerdette Natasha Strange will walk you through building your own Wordpress site. This class is for people fairly new to Wordpress although all levels are welcome. Wordpress is a powerful and diverse platform which can be used to host simple brochure sites that simply display your assets, to interactive forums and private chat rooms. Natasha will be helping you customize a basic brochure site, but armed with that knowledge, where you fo from there is up to you!

In this class we will learn more about the back end:

* How to adjust your settings to maximize SEO (Download and install the YOAST plugin)

* How to find, install and manage plug-ins.

* Setting up your media

And the front end:

* Picking a theme. We will be working with Wordpress’s Twenty Seventeen theme which is pretty and very stable.

* Customizing pages

* Blogging for the business you want

This class will build on Natasha’s last class - Intro to Wordpress and assumes that you have set up your own SELF HOSTED Wordpress site. This means you have your url pointing to your host.
