Jehanne is the collaborative synthesizer duo of Teddy Nava and Forest Green (aka Shrill), broadcasting hybrid techno and gay noise from the deep chaparral, with an emphasis on improvisation, texture, and energy.
Split Static is a resonant sensory surge, aural and optical impressions created by Alex Pelly (audio and video synthesizers) and Elaine Carey (guitar and electronics) in 2024. Alex Pelly is a video and sound artist who utilizes multiple generations of video technology, both analog and digital, to create multi-sensory experiences centered on visceral colors, shapes and sounds in motion. Elaine Carey explores sonic textures with musical instruments and analog electronics, pursuing the dizzying precipice of extreme darkness and euphoric light with themes of horror, humor, and the surreal. Friends and frequent collaborators for over a decade, the Los Angeles based duo worked together on numerous video and intermedia ventures, defining a shared aesthetic with their 2017 Coaxial Arts residency, an immersive and interactive audiovisual installation, titled Solid States.
Nemeton is a DJ specializing in radical dancefloor sets weaving together cutting-edge industrial techno, noise, breakcore, hardcore, ebm, experimental, and contemporary avant-garde music. She is part of Darkmatter Soundsystem, a Los Angeles collective of djs and producers who have thrown underground parties in temporary autonomous zones since 2001. Nemeton co-runs the Darkmatter Soundsystem record label which has put out vinyl records, cds, and digital releases since 2003. Nemeton also contributes to Datacide.
H Lite is the electronic music moniker of Anton Krueger from Denver, CO.
Miser began as a music group, but has morphed into a ritual unit by its two members (John Hudnall and Drew Girard) to access, explore and share the immersive, ecstatic aspects of experimental sound. The sound tools currently employed by the duo include off the shelf guitar and synthesizer equipment, and a growing array of customized and homemade electronics, purpose-built for performing experimental sound ritual and opening portals.
Golconda Fort is a noisy improvised techno project from Santa Ana, California. This project is mainly acid techno with the 303 as the main element, but it’s also in the realm of experimental music since it often deviates from rhythm and melody.
Destitute Mirror Children is a queer experimental noise collective based in South East Los Angeles. Originally a duo, Mik and Vincent create and explore electronic noise with a diy and punk attitude.
