Kitchen Table Talk:
Honoring a Creative Justice Lineage for Collective Self-Determination

Join us for an intergenerational, intercultural, and liberation legacy rooted conversation between community leaders. In homage of the conversations that happened at the table in the homes, in the communities of our founders that seeded, sustained and grew El Puente- we invite our community to the “Kitchen Table”, where conversation is revolutionary.

This Month’s Kitchen Table Talk “Honoring a Creative Justice Lineage for Collective Self-Determination” brings together El Puente Co-founder Frances Lucerna, El Puente’s Director of Arts and Cultural Organizing Jana Lynne “JL” Umipig and Environmental Justice Campaign & Policy Manager of El Puente’s Green Light District, Raisa Lin Garden-Lucerna to reflect on the times from their different viewpoints. Together they will sit in reflection on lineage of leadership, living through transitions, processes of Grief, relational responses to Crisis on our people, the discipline and strategery of cultural organizing and the power for connection, collectivity, community in the work of radically imagining and creating the world that we want to and deserve to live in. This conversation is for cultural organizers, educators, artists, community creators who are seeking to ground in reflections to recommit to the workings, embodiments and dedication to our collective self-determination.
