Sunday January 29 * 1-5pm
This workshop will provide an introductory overview to the world of Arduino microcontrollers and how you can use these devices to orchestrate the lighting of any number of digitally addressable 'NeoPixel' LEDs in your art.
This workshop will focus on the basics, but here are two examples of Arduino controlled LED lighting projects previously made by instructor Peter Serano:

The workshop includes an Adafruit Circuit Playground Bluefruit Microcontroller, a 1 meter long strip of NeoPixel LEDs, and micro-USB cable.
About the instructor:
Peter Serano is a multi-instrumentalist musician & visual artist with a master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and over 10 years of experience designing and prototyping custom electronic circuits for visual arts projects.
**** All participants will need to bring a laptop computer (windows or mac) with USB-A port (or USB-C + adapter).
Materials cost $45 and are included. All fees above the materials cost will be donated to Rhizome. Thank you Peter!
