LAUGHING GRAVY

Northern California’s Laughing Gravy plays American Roots Music and much of their material is original. In addition, they perform a fully realized tribute to country rock super star, Gram Parsons. On their CD, Tribute To Gram Parsons, the band has recorded 11 songs that were either written, or covered by, Gram Parsons.

Laughing Gravy is Doug Jayne (a Jackalope artist) on acoustic guitar and lead and backing vocals. Allegra Broughton plays acoustic guitar and adds lead and backing vocals. Kevin Russell (another Jackalope artist!) sings lead and backing vocals, plays banjo, mandolin and guitars. Sam Page plays bass and sings. Kirby Pierce plays keyboards. Dan Ransford plays drums. Candy Girard plays fiddle. Dave Zirbel plays pedal steel.

KEVIN RUSSELL & SOME DANGEROUS FRIENDS

Rockabilly & hard core real deal country music, dipped in the blues.

Gram Parsons and Merle Haggard get into a car with Loretta Lynn and Ry Cooder, crank up the radio & country-rock it all the way home! From tear jerkin’ country ballads that’ll touch your heart to two-steppin’ country boogie urging you to dance!

Steve Della Maggiora – keyboard, guitar, jokes

Markie Sanders – bass, vocals, impeccable timing

Rick Cutler – drums, fancy shirts, the human metronome

Kevin Russell – guitar, vocals, set list maker

Sean Allen – amazing guitar pyrotechnics

Maria Nguyen – rhythm guitar, vocals, authentic country girl

Candy Girard – fiddle, irrepressible smile

and with our occasional Dangerous Friend:

Bobby Black – steel guitar & infectious grin

THE SORENTINOS

The Sorentinos are a four piece California rock and roll band. They have been pleasing and baffling audiences for more than 35 years with their brand of west coast rock that takes heavy doses of English pop/rock , American garage , blues and country music along with a bit of singer songwriter folk  thrown in to make their own special kind of noise. The Sorentinos have released 25 CDs  on The Major Label with their latest release being Sonic Narcotic and have opened shows for many well known artists including, Bob Dylan, Buck Owens, John Lee Hooker, Jeff Beck, Dwight Yoakam, Peter Frampton, Chris Issak,  Chicago, Creedence, Peter Green, Lucinda Williams, Blues Traveler, The Yardbirds, The Spencer Davis Band, The Radiators, and many more. Staunch Tinomaniac's radio KRSH/Santa Rosa CA continues to air tracks matching most superstar acts including the awarding of the coveted “album of the week”. London's Time Out "Venue of the Year" winners the 12 Bar Club and The Borderline have all but adopted the band offering unprecedented support in the UK scene which also includes the BBC Radio’s “Whispering” Bob Harris (an English institution) among many others.

Sorentinos songs have so far graced no less than four "Melrose Place" episodes including the opening credits which are normally reserved for artists such as Sting or John Mellancamp. Other songs have been used in films "Lover's Knot" starring Tim Curry and Jennifer Grey, successful indie film fest movie "Follow The Bitch", and was solo-ed in CBS (US) Movie Of The Week "Co-ed Call Girl" starring Tori Spelling.

All this creates for a unique band calling America and the UK home and who continue to take on the world on their own terms.

A Sorentino favorite saying is “Life is what happens in the meantime….”. It continues for sure. For more info go to  HYPERLINK "http://thesorentinos.com/" \t "_blank" thesorentinos.com
