Renaissance Person is proud to present our pilot Field Trip!
Join Colby and Gina as we tour the Kings County Distillery and learn how their spirits are made, the history of the distillery, and how Prohibition affected alcohol production in our beloved city. Then we'll head over to Rooftop Reds, the new rooftop vineyard located a mere 4 minutes away. There, we'll have a tasting and chat on the roof with their knowledgeable staff about how to produce wine and what it takes to cultivate grapes on Brooklyn rooftops. Afterward, we'll swing by The Gatehouses, the newly opened cocktail bar and tasting area at the distillery for small bites (and additonal drinks for purchase if you feel so inclined...). Over snacks and drinks, we'll discuss home production of wine and spirits (we've been savoring the last of Colby's first batch of homemade gin!,) resources you can use to make your own, and other Renaissance Person-y topics.
We'll meet outside the 299 Sands entrance at 1:15 for our 1:30 tour.
Tickets cover tours costs and snacks and a small admin fee.
