Why do you love movies? For us these days, it’s often all about the Big Choices that make your jaw drop and eyes bug out with unrestricted glee. While that’s a bit unwieldy for a tagline, you could slap that on a poster for this movie and be good to go.
From Walter Hill, director of THE WARRIORS (“come out and playeeyaaaayyy”), comes this platonic ideal of a neo-noir, hypertheatrical rock opera. A rough-and-tumble drifter, an arena-shaking songbird, a leather-gaiter-clad and glistening young Willem Dafoe, a ragtag group of misfits up against a terrifying motorcycle army… write my name in the book of life, cus I died and went to heaven!
