GHOST SHOW & OTHER HAUNTINGS at Current Space!

GHOST SHOW is a collaborative drawing installation composed of ephemeral materials, haunting the interior (Julia Dzwonkoski) and exterior (Zack Pieper) of Current Space. A multitude of ghosts in a myriad of tableaus will materialize from October 25 - October 31, 2023

Ghosts of any and all scale: public ghosts, private ghosts, historic ghosts, slapstick ghosts, domestic ghosts, middle-management ghosts, influencer ghosts, ghosts of memory, ghosts of the future -- will all be affixed to the gallery in a frighteningly various array of forms and scenarios.

The October 27th opening reception will include OTHER HAUNTINGS: an hour and half program of ghost story, song, sounds, poetry and performance.

A collective conjuration of all manner of presence.

About the Artists:
Julia Dzwonkoski is an artist based in Buffalo, NY. Her recent work explore the highs and lows of modern life though the lens of ghosts, stars and inventions for the end-times.

Zack Pieper's work spans poetry, performance, projection, sound art, and song.

For a decade, Pieper has created various large-scale mosaics and site-specific installations from thousands of unique ghosts drawn in magic marker on post-it notes, affixed to shop-front and gallery windows. This marathon drawing ritual functions simultaneously as a portable portrait gallery, a pop-up cathedral, a neighborhood Rorschach test, and a seasonal decoration. These yearly hauntings have occurred at Green Gallery (Milwaukee), Real Tinsel (Milwaukee), and Cotyldedon Arts (Baltimore), amongst numerous other spaces.

Events at Current Space are rain or shine. We have a wonderful, big tent over the stage and a covered bar area! Tickets are non-refundable.
