Pedestrian Deposit
Reverse tension, abrasive composition. The collaborative work of Shannon A. Kennedy and Jonathan Borges is best described as visceral and narrative; highly composed, often abstract sound textures informed by elements of experimental sound, harsh noise, musique concrete, neo-classical, dark ambiance and performance art but is not beholden to any one genre. Borges’ use of crude yet disciplined electronics, tape loops, field recordings, and controlled feedback manipulation contrasts against Shannon’s use of self-designed, physically activated, sculptural instruments made of wood, metal, strings and springs, as well as her extended bowing techniques.

In a live context, the duo places an emphasis on the development and evolution of physical, psychological and organic live performance. This will be their first performance since January of 2020, where they presented a 20-year retrospective exhibit of the project.

Mas Guerrero

Mas Guerrero (b. 1993) is a multimedia artist whose audio and visual work focuses on excess, ephemera, generation loss, simulacra and the means of production. Angular, unresolved collage-pop diatribes cushioned between cacophonous ambient dins. All of it interlaced with uncanny pop culture sampling, digitally androgynous vocals and a heavy reliance on clunky, budget sounds of the very recent past.

Alex Pelly
Alex Pelly is a Canadian video artist who has been rooted in the Los Angeles video art community for over a decade. Her work incorporates multiple generations of technology, both analog and digital, conjuring and controlling video feedback in various incarnations. Over the past five years, her process has been centered around modular video synthesis. In collaboration with musicians and sound artists, Pelly’s visuals serve as a reflection of and muse to the music simultaneously. Most recently, she has been delving into audio synthesis, creating her own sounds to visualize.
