Have you ever heard of Colonial Donuts in Oakland? Cambodian-owned, no-frills donut hangout, initially with two spots run by brother and sister, but the first one closed in 2017 in the face of rising rents. Exactly the kind of thing Withfriends is hoping to keep at bay - while we can't share the donuts with you directly, we'd like to invite you to join us on video chat, with whatever local tasty treat you might grab, and catch up on what the Withfriends team has been up to out in The Bay.

We'll have the entire Withfriends team on this video chat to catch up for an hour or so about what we've been up to so far in 2019, how we think it is going to help you all and the spaces you care about, and hear about anything that's on your mind that we can take into account.

Feel free to join for the entire video chat, or just for whatever parts you're available for! We'll be doing these every Sunday afternoon (or so) until Demo Day (!!!) so for at least the next month, and we also just kicked off a Discord chatroom that can run 24/7 and where you all can stay in touch about the same.

It's not exactly the same thing as our dinners back in Brooklyn, but as we grow we want to still be able to maintain that kind of accessibility and facilitate communication between all the amazing organizers and supporters on Withfriends.
