Science in Theatre Festival is a three day event where Transforma Theatre in residency with Nancy Manocherian's the cell presents three new science-themed plays and new technologies. Our goal is to align forms of theater with current scientific research in neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and epigenetics, and communicate this knowledge of technological possibilities to our audiences in a pioneering way of storytelling. Each night we present a fully staged theatrical work, followed by science presentations and panels consisting of scientists and artists. During the day we will host different innovation technology brands who will be presenting their latest inventions that are multi-purposed and can be used in the arts- such as 3-D printing, haptics, EEG devices, and wearables.
We are committed to practicing and prioritizing public health and safety thus we aim to live-stream the program as well as welcome live audiences if New York City reaches the 4th phase of reopening.
