Wine Poetic: Arthur Rimbaud

An unfiltered lens into the life and work of a noteworthy poet paired to a wine from the same country of origin.

Wine Poetic, in essence, is the confluence of wine, poetry and history. Entitled as a play on words that speak to the origins of these interconnected worlds, 'Wine Poetic' is a new workshop series that hones in on site-specific wine and poetry through a historical and poetic lens.

During each session, the life and work of a noteworthy poet (either living or dead) will be discussed and workshopped alongside an accompanying wine and winemaker who share the same country of origin.

By experiencing the two in tandem, we invite an opportunity for their shared pathos to not only be better understood, but more deeply felt.

(The accompanying wine will be revealed the night of the event. Drink are not included in the ticket cost).

For our second Wine Poetic installment, PSNY is excited to partner with &Holiday to present a French wine and a brief introduction to the life and work of French poet Arthur Rimbaud, led by poet Tova Greene and sommelier Darby Wagner.

The program will include conversational presentations and discussions around:

The featured wine and winemaker, and the invisible threads that connect this particular wine to the poetry of the evening;A lens into the life and work of Arthur Rimbaud;Readings from a selection of Rimbaud's poetry;Writing prompts and an open floor segment;Group Q+A's
