For ‘Displacements,’ sound artists and electronic musicians Annie Aries, Brian House and Marcel Zaes revisit the experimental beats that they made as a part of their collaborative installation, Metric Displacement. With an assemblage of analog synthesizers, open source software, and resampled vinyl loops, they retake these same beats and textures, but this time to unfold them in a set that oscillates between saturated rhythmic textures and driving beats.
