7PM - 10PMsinkane is the project of sudanese-american musician ahmed gallab who masterfully blends a multitude of genres in his music, including various subgenres of rock, electronica, jazz, and sudanese pop to create his signature sound. ‘dépaysé,’ his upcoming album due out 5/31 on city slang, is based around the meaning of the french word which refers to being removed from one’s habitual surroundings and the feeling of disorientation that comes along with that. driven by the political frustrations and disenchantment, he strives to use his music to motivate himself and others to turn frustration into action.
