This November, Games Y'all will be throwing our year-end afterparty: The Games Y’all Roundup!
The Roundup is a multiplayer focused celebration of some fan favorite games from our history. Come out and celebrate the games, the game makers, and the friends that make our community what it is. On top of that, we'll be adding a twist with live music inspired by the sound and spirit of videogames!
Doors open at 7:00pm, music at 8:30! Held at Kick Butt Coffee (5775 Airport Blvd Suite 725, Austin, TX 78752).
Artist Bios
DJ Rockman: Since the early 2000s, DJ Rockman has been playing shows in and around Austin, TX with a focus on Nerdcore while also weaving in hip-hop, R&B, house, and DnB into his sets. He’s opened for artists such as Quest Love, Mega Ran, Doug Funnie, and Random Movement and runs several recurring parties including Blaxiumum Overdrive, Nerdcore Night, and DJ Sessions. He is also a part of the Everyday Junglist, Drum-Soul, and The Friday Night Get Down, and is the official DJ of Classic Game Fest.
Descendants of Erdrick: Descendants of Erdrick chronicles the adventures of classic and retro video games via high-energy prog-rock/metal arrangements, often utilizing motifs, ambience, and sound effects throughout their medleys in order to establish a mood. The trio, consisting of guitarist/vocalist Amanda Lepre, bassist Thad Stevens, and drummer, Jaime Watson, canonizes soundtracks of gaming franchises such as Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Metroid, among others in the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Playstation era. In their home state of Texas, Descendants of Erdrick has the honor of being a regional driving force in retro video game music culture for 15 years.
EyeQ: EyeQ is an inspirational force of nature who consistently enraptures audiences around the US and internationally with his passionate live performances and powerful lyrics. Merging his wide assortment of musical influences and loves of VGM, Anime, Jazz, Lo fi, love, and life into one powerhouse performance, EyeQ has developed his own national reputation as an esteemed hip-hop artist, winning awards and dominating main stages and after parties for some of the most important pop culture conventions in the United States.
