HYPERREAL FILM CLUB PRESENTS: LIFEFORCE
Every once in a while, the stars align and a bona fide freak sneaks a trojan horse stuffed with the house money, keys to the castle, and blank company checks past the watchful eyes of the studio gods (Jodorowsky with HOLY MOUNTAIN, the Wachowskis with JUPITER ASCENDING). Blessings on our heads, LIFEFORCE is one of those movies.
A total bonanza of wacked out ideas and over-the-top practical effects, this movie doesn't so much have a discernible plot as it has whiplash roller-coaster energy that rockets you through a 101-minute runtime before dumping you breathless into a photo booth where you're confronted with your own visage going 🤯
If you've never seen it, or if you've never seen it with a bunch of rowdy friends at the Hyperreal Hotel, trust you don't wanna miss :)
