Thessia Machado: https://thessiamachado.com/portfolio-category/performance/ (handbuilt objects and instruments)

Thessia Machado is a visual/sound artist, instrument builder and performer whose work plumbs the materiality of sound and its effect on our shifting perceptions of space. She creates circumstances in which to mine the matter of her pieces for their innate physical properties and the sonic and visual relationships that can arise from their interactions. In improvised and composed performed works, the ensemble of things is augmented by a dynamically responsive and intentionally unpredictable human element. Electronics are almost always implicated.

Laura Feathers: https://www.youtube.com/@LauraFeathers/videos (synthesizers, electronics)

An electrician by day, Laura extends this to her free time with an electronics hobby. “My knowledge of electronics from my work overlaps with the technical side of music and with the rich history of electronic music,” she writes. “I am passionate about exploring new approaches to sound. Laura’s compositional process relies heavily on improvisation. Her Moog synthesizers, theremin, infinity looper, guitar, and electric violin all help her build her fascinating soundscapes. She is enthusiastic about the possibilities of using electronic equipment to improvise and thus make compositional decisions.
