Out of Our Shells - Live Homegrown DC Music

In Fall 2021, a team of local professors, students, and music producers used a recording studio built into a truck to record musicians from across the D.C. region. The goal was to record a wide range of styles, genres and languages, especially from artists who have had little access to recording equipment and haven't been heard widely.

Many of the artists recorded as part of this project will perform short sets at Rhizome to celebrate the release of the free CD of recordings.

There isn’t much shade, bring a hat or an umbrella!
