In 2016 Dr. Douglas Osto came out of the psychedelic closet with the publication of his seminal "Altered States: Buddhism and Psychedelic Spirituality in America" (Columbia University Press), in which he explores the complicated and fantastic cultural history of "Psychedelic Buddhism."

It's 2021 and Dr. D.E. Osto ('Dee'), (pronouns: they/them), has emerged from the gender closet and is starting work on new book project that explores gender, psychedelics, and technology.

Doc Kelley caught up with Psychedelic Sangha's "spiritual friend" (advisory board member) Dr. D. E. Osto over Zoom recently, and recorded, "A Conversation on Nonbinary Psychedelic Buddhism and the Future of Humanity."
