Gather atop Elysian Park to hear David Moses and Tristan de Liège perform their ambient experimental record Confluence, released in late 2025 on the Portland-based Holy Volcano Records. They will be joined by Heather Freed on harp and Aaron Reihs on saxophone in gorgeous afternoon ensemble.

Confluence aims to capture the feeling and experience of different perspectives coming together in surprising and unexpected ways. The album was created in an intuitive manner, through channeling sounds and textures and listening for where they may lead. A share of the pieces emerged from a long-form improvisation on felted spinet piano and David Moses’ use of the unique Monome Norns as a live sample processor.

As an album, and this afternoon’s performance, these pieces together aim to invite the listener to experience music as — what Mary Maria Parks and Albert Ayler lovingly refer to — a healing force of the universe to offer respite, solace, and grounding us in the present.Confluence is out now, was mastered by Matthewdavid, and features Sam Gendel, Heather Freed, Zekkereya El-magharbel, and Thierry LeMaitre. This afternoon is organized and amplified by David Moses & Tristan de Liège with Living Earth simply supporting our friends getting out into the world and sharing music outdoors. All donations will be sent their way & please reach out to them via Instagram or email with any questions.
