The Dead Drops are a three-piece garage rock outfit from all over New York state. Forming out of the ashes of different bands from the hudson valley, The Dead Drops are now under the foresight of their frontmann Matt Muller who has moved their headquarters to Brooklyn, NY. Drawing influence from the White Stripes, Melvins and The Drones, The Dead Drops are here to bring an analog sound to an increasingly digital world. The band's debut single "Wasted Time" seeks to capture the idea of breaking out of the mold and ideals that society imbues into you, and ultimately becoming yourself. A synthpunk/industrial act hailing from Brooklyn, the music of Jawndarme walks a tightrope between thrashing and dancing. Drawing on the punk bonafides of Bay Area hellraiser Dylan Hoffman, session guitarist Harry Schafer, mainstay local percussionist Billy Coughlin, and producer/DJ Connor McInerney, their sound blends white-knuckle live performance with sweaty, pulsing electronic production, in turn creating discordant, driving music recommended for fans of acts like Nine Inch Nails, Death Grips, and IDLES. Their forthcoming debut EP, arriving in early 2026, evokes many of the prescient themes haunting 21st-century living, delving into war, conspiracy, addiction, and the nature of the human spirit. Often irreverent and always loud, the project serves as a noisy meditation on an increasingly fractured world.
