SCHOOL GROUP VISITS
School groups will visit the Hudson River Story barge, tour the Hudson River Maritime Museum, and workshop with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. Students will learn about NY’s interconnected navigable waterways – Erie & Barge Canals, Hudson River & NY Harbor – and discover how they were the anchor resources in the emergence of NY as the “Empire State.” Classes will also investigate art and technology that have been inspired by man’s use of water for transportation.
