This self-made hybrid comedy-documentary follows actor and comedian Matt Barats, who, reluctant to re-sign his apartment lease, heads out on a solo camping trip to Vermont. Rapidly hemorrhaging cash, Matt is haunted by the phantom of a Domino’s Pizza commercial he worked on the previous spring, which shows no sign of broadcast or payout. He obsessively attaches himself to the history of early Mormonism, feeling a kindred fraudulence with the religion’s founder, Joseph Smith. This sends Matt spiraling on a lonesome, junk food fueled pilgrimage to Missouri, where he is further hypnotized by both the pizza delivery industry and Church of Latter-day Saints.
