Gavagai is a monthly performance series curated and hosted by poet Danielle Blau and comedian Bronwyn Isaac that brings you poetry and fiction readings -- and comedy! -- scored with original live music by composer-improviser-bassist Mike Brown, with other skilled improvisers (piano-players, guitarists, horn-players, drummers, harpists, cellists, violinists, vocalists, who knows?) dropping in onstage as guest-musicians.

Our August 21 event will feature readings by poets Angelo Nikolopoulos and Robert Ostrom and writer Raji Pandya, and standup by comedians Myq Kaplan, Khalid Rahmaan, and Kimberly Dinaro, with special guest-musicians Shahzad Ismaily, Nasimiyu, and Sarah Pedinotti!
