Marcin Pietruszewski is engaged in sound synthesis and composition with computers, exploring specific formal developments in the tradition of electroacoustic music and contemporary sound art, as well as extra-musical domains of auditory design, computational linguistics and psychoacoustics.
One of Pietruszewskiβs key compositional methods is software of his own devise, New Pulsar Generator (nuPG) programmed in SuperCollider. This system offers an approach to performance that includes playing via graphical interface as well as live coding. nuPG sounds are heard on his recent releases on Itayβs Superpang label, and Glasgowβs Fancyyyyy.
Here, he makes a special appearance at Coaxial Arts Foundation, capping a residency and trip to the West Coast of North America.
Pietruszewski works across performance, multimedia installation and radio productions probing the dynamics between formalism of synthetic sound and its material realization. He has collaborated extensively with musicians and composers βe.g., Jan St. Werner, Florian Hecker, Marcus Schmickler, Tristan Clutterbuck, Jules Rawlinson and Lauren Sarah Hayes β as well as graphic design company NORM, philosopher Chris Schambaugh, choreographer/dancer Agnes Cebere, and the Laboria Cubonics Collective.

Self-described as βbuilt autogenerating electroconvulsive modelsβ Rotary ECT offers a real-time PA generating audio and often video as well. Abstract cybernetics via maxed out Max peripatetics! L.A. based Christopher Reid Martin, is a known figure in the sometimes occluded networks of obscurantist sonics β (Shelter Death, Ida Meridiana, etc.) β and has released ECT material on anΓ²mia and The Tapeworm.
