Counter Service | Slalomville | Drummers Can Achieve
Drummers Can Achieve sling upbeat power pop and shoegaze songs that poke fun at the randomness, heartbreak, joy, and absurdity of modern life. This indie rock quartet crafts high-energy, toe-tapping ditties about the pets that own us, cities that change shape, skinwalkers passing as people, and the plight of mammals creating art from inside the belly of a capitalistic beast.
Slalomville:
Justin Gonzales started Slalomville in 2016 as an outlet for his back catalog of quirky songs and sonic experiments - a synth, sampler, and a dream. Superb talents Amy Klein (fmr. Titus Andronicus), Ian Milliken, and Benji Reynolds round out the lineup. Ethereal soundscapes, unusual song structures, and distorted vocals are expected from slaughterville. Their live performances are more experiential and visceral than the typical rock show. Songs highlight the understanding of oneself, bizarre situations, and weird dreams involving talking dogs.
COUNTER SERVICE
Karin Elgai, Sydney Stewart, and George Flanagan of Counter Service make dark, yet breezy music for a chaotic contemporary world. With the combination of tight beats, atmospheric guitars, thumping bass, and dreamy layered vocals from both George and Karin, their sound stays consistent, yet adventurous from song to song.
