Join Psychedelic Sangha host Mike Fowler and guest facilitator Daniel 'Sitaram Das' Shankin (Mt. Tam Integration) for a special Post-Bicycle Day psychedelic integration circle at the historical Judson Memorial Church in Greenwich Village, NYC.
On April 19, 1943, Dr. Albert Hofmann, a chemist working for Sandoz, in Basel, Switzerland, ingested 250 micrograms of a new compound he derived from the ergot fungus called lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). He soon felt so disoriented that he rode his bicycle home, where he experienced both the heavenly and hellish effects of what we now call an "acid trip."
Psychedelic enthusiasts commemorate Hofmann's discovery of LSD's by ceremonially riding bicycles (and dropping acid) every year on April 19, a.k.a. "Bicycle Day."
To celebrate this Bicycle Day, Psychedelic Sangha is hosting a special integration circle with guest facilitator Daniel 'Sitaram Das' Shankin.
Shankin is the founder of Mt. Tam Psychedelic Integration, an organization serving individuals who are exploring their consciousness for transformational evolution within a supportive community. He offers one of one integration coaching, and his clients describe his work as as profound yet casual, both humorous and reverent.
Our integration circle is a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space to process non-ordinary states of consciousness and their potential for personal transformation through meditation.
We are honored to be community partners with Judson Memorial Church, in Greenwich Village, New York. With their support we are able to offer these services free of charge every third Thursday at 7pm in the Assembly Room at 239 Thompson Street (between West Third Street and Washington Square South).
