AWBC competition team is a diverse group of amateur women and nonbinary boxers fighting out of Austin Women's Boxing Club. Our coaches and team are all women or nonbinary, a rare occurrence in the world of boxing. We all started boxing as adults - we love the sport because we get to hit things, feel powerful and confident and inspire other women and nonbinary folks to feel the same. Being boxers in our twenties to thirties, we are an inspiration for younger as well as older women and nonbinary people, showing that you can still be competitive in the sport even though we started later in life. Our impact isn’t just about boxing, it’s about finding inner power through the discipline developed to achieve our goals in life. Any funds raised go directly to the boxers to cover lodging, transportation, registration fees, and more for tournaments or club shows they may attend.
