Laraaji first gained exposure through his hammered dulcimer performance on “Ambient 3: Day Of Radiance” produced by Brian Eno. Following this release, he recorded a handful of mbira, zither and other eclectic instruments in his signature way and distributed the recordings to meditation groups all over the world.
In 1984, Laraaji recorded an album unlike any of his others, which primarily featured Casio keyboard and vocals. It was released it in a very small quantity of tapes as “Vision Songs”. The recordings were resurrected and reissued by Numero Group in 2018, and have since been hailed as the magnum opus of his work by new-age enthusiasts and music lovers alike. This performance will feature selections from this album, as well as similar pieces that encourage the flow of bliss.
