The return of Psychedelic Sangha's BARDO Sound Bath series featuring music by Ancient Ocean and guided meditation by Jessica Angima, hosted in the grand sanctuary of NYC's Judson Memorial Church.

"Bardo" is an intermediate state of existence when one's consciousness is untethered from the body and free to create its own reality—like that of a dream. The Bardo Thodol "Liberation Through Hearing During the Bardo State" (otherwise known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead) is a meditator's guide for navigating the dreamlike world of the Bardo, and achieving spiritual insight.

The evening will feature guided meditation by Jessica Angima and a 60-minute sound bath performed by Ancient Ocean and centered around tone and vibration, deep listening and empathic response.

Ancient Ocean is the long running ambient project of NYC-via-Kentucky resident J.R. Bohannon. Via records on Beyond Beyond is Beyond and other labels, Bohannon melds the worlds of modern classical, expansive sound art, minimalism, micro-guitar and synth exploration.

About Jessica Angima:
Jessica Angima is a first-generation Kenyan American cultural producer and healing artist, working in the modality of meditation. In a constant state of process, she facilitates intimate community through the exploration of art, justice, and contemplative practice.
