Join Psychedelic Sangha and our friends at the HiFi Loft and its host, musician Jared Samuel, for a truly singular BARDO Sound Bath and intimate concert experience featuring Doug Wieselman's From Water.

Doug's woodwind-based compositions sit somewhere between the refined intelligence of American minimalism and the undecorated purity of ambient music. Like water, there are multiple glorious moments where its currents coincide and reveal new contrasts and hues, deeply embedded within the harmony.

"Bardo" is an intermediate state of existence when one's consciousness is untethered from the body and free to create its own reality—like that of a dream. The Bardo Thodol "Liberation Through Hearing During the Bardo State" (otherwise known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead) is a meditator's guide for navigating the dreamlike world of the Bardo, and achieving spiritual insight.

The evening will feature guided meditation by Psychedelic Sangha and a 60-minute sound bath performed by Doug.

After the sound bath, participants will be encouraged to stay for an informal Seeker Salon, where we will discuss music, spirituality and psychedelics while listening to a curated selection of LPs on the Hi-Fi Loft sound system.

Doug Wieselman has worked as a player, arranger and composer with a variety of artists in different fields including John Lurie, Anohni, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, CocoRosie, John Zorn, Martha Wainwright, Anthony Coleman, Hal Willner, Martin Hayes, Butch Morris, Robert Woodruff, The Flying Karamazov Brothers, Jerome Robbins and Robert Wilson, to name a few.
