Movement Research 04
Class Title: Counter Poise

During our fourth and final session of Movement Research, “Counter Poise”, we will pay close attention to the way our bodies react to music and attempt to work with/against balance (poise). By focusing on the way we move, individually and collectively, we can focus on a few topics: Connection, Control, Symmetry, Intentionality, and their opposites: De-Connection, Un-Control, Asymmetry. This virtual event is an approach to reflection, intentional movement, unintentional movement, connection, as well as opposing forces. We'll move through some meditations, as well as a few guided exercises led by host Isabel. The class will conclude with a discussion and the opportunity to share any thoughts about the experience.
