Beyond Secretaries, Doctors & Teachers: Role-play that works for you

Free

You don’t need to be a thespian or a former theater kid to explore your underlying motivations and uncharted desires

Faciliated by Sarah Casper and Lola Jean

Are you the teacher’s pet or the class clown? Are you lovingly nursing your patient back to health or using and abusing their body in the name of science? Are you worried your roleplay will feel more like a high school production of Grease and less like that movie scene you think of when you pleasure yourself? When roleplay attempts fall flat, it’s usually because partners have spent more time picking out their costumes than negotiating the scene.

Successful roleplay requires thinking through what motivates your character, how they want to feel, and what will help them get there. This seemingly kitschy kink can give you a space to explore parts of yourself that don’t get to come out in IRL. As intimidating as whips and chains might be, there’s nothing quite like emotional vulnerability to activate that nervous system.

Join us on Thursday, June 22nd for a workshop that will help you turn tired tropes into curated characters that support your kinky fantasies.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Discover what kind of charachter you want to play (and what you want your partner to play)
  • Negotiate a scene based on your boundaries, motivations, and desires.
  • Check-in with your partner without breaking character.
  • Minimize common pitfalls in roleplay explorations.

You don’t need to be a thespian or a former theater kid to explore your underlying motivations and uncharted desires. This workshop will support those of you interested in exploring this territory for the first time and those of you who want to shake-up the scenes you’re already creating.
