An introduction from Faiza Kracheni, media artist, musician, and Co-Executive Director of the Motion Media Arts Center:

As I thought about what to write as an introduction to one of the most pivotal revolutionary films ever created, I sat here in the comfort of my own home in Austin, Texas. Away from war, away from death.

I thought about risks my family and thousands of fellow Algerians took to fight back. I thought about their lives. I thought about their deaths.

I thought about how my life would not be here at all if it wasn’t for them.

This film and myself would simply not exist.
