Immersive. Literary. Cabaret. 
Welcome to a unique and interactive poetry event that takes poetry outside classrooms and lecture halls and places it in the lush interiors of a bordello. The Madame presents a rotating cast of poets, each operating within a carefully crafted character, who impart their work in public readings, spontaneous eruptions of poetry, and most distinctly, as purveyors of private poetry readings on beds, chaise lounges and in private rooms. For a small fee, all of the poets are available for these sequestered readings at any time during the event. Of course, any true bordello needs a good cover; ours is an literary cabaret featuring burlesque, live music, vaudeville, aerials, visual art, magic, mysticism, with newly integrated themes, performances and installations at each event.
Answer with us the call of the wolves on this blood-red-letting evening of mystics, mayhem, and more. Help us sanctify this sacred space of syntax and party as the Romans do. What could be more romantic?
Poetry of the flesh will be recited by burlesque Mademoiselle Estelle and Holly Bordeaux. Other diversions will include mystics Holy Crow and Rebecca Fey, illusions by The Magic, sketches by sketchy sketch artist Too Loose, the musical stylings of Feathers, and our house band Lucy & The Monsters. And of course, the evening will be presided over by Mister Charley, The Madame, and that rapscallion Tennessee Pink.
Doors open at 6:30pm. The show begins promptly at 7:30pm. Themed costumes are encouraged but not required. This event is 21+.
