Michelle Moeller (b. St. Louis MO) is a composer, performer, and teacher based in Oakland, CA. Her musical practice is ever evolving, guided by restless curiosity and natural resistance to a singular approach. Drawing from both a foundational lyricism and a penchant for dissonant textures, she uses live signals, custom effects, and computer synthesis to build intricate electroacoustic systems. “Late Morning” is her debut record which was released on April 5 with AKP Recordings. She studied piano performance at the University of Missouri and received an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College.

Risa (Oakland, CA) is the duo of Mitch Stahlmann and Brendan Glasson playing mostly improvised electronic music. Their music relies on a system that allows the musical data Mitch sends to his instruments to be calibrated by what Brendan plays on his, often leading to chaotically consonant forms of unexpected linkages and continuities. Risa will soon release their tape “I” on June 7.

4mación is a computer musician and composer from Los Angeles. Their work involves live sound synthesis and digital processing which compounds mechanical elements of computer music with biotic feelings and organic sounds. They perform mostly through laptop performance using home-programmed sound modules.
