Elektron 101: The Sequencer

Portland, Oregon
Free - $22.46 (includes all fees)

Join us as we dive into Elektron 101, with this class focusing specifically on the famous Elektron sequencer. Most elektron boxes have sequencers with many features in common, so we'll be examining the workflow without a specific instrument in mind.

Sequencer topics we'll be covering include:
• Copy and paste
• Sequence length
• Conditional trigs
• Parameter locks
• Midi tracks/trigs
• Live record
• Func trigs (trig-less trigs)
• Step sequencer
• Clearing
• Micro timing

Learn how to craft the beats you have in your head by diving into how each feature works to unlock the power of this amazing sequencer.

There will be time set aside in the second half of the workshop to put these concepts to work in a hands-on way. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own Elektron device in to work with during the hands-on portion, but it is not necessary to do so. We will have at least 5 various Elektron boxes set up around the room so those are available to anyone coming without their personal machine. Hands-on interaction is encouraged but not required, so you're also welcome to just come and listen.
