Knife Skills with Fat Cap Supper Club

Chicago, Illinois
$59.41 (includes all fees)

Learn the most versatile skill set in the kitchen - working with a chef’s knife. While most of our classes feature boning knives and hand saws, working confidently with a chef’s knife is a critical skill no matter what you hope to achieve in the kitchen. In this class we are brining in our friend Cecil Rodriguez of Fat Cap Supper Club to teach you knife skills that will take you anywhere you want to go in a kitchen. You will work through vegetable prep, the difference between various knife cuts, as well as knife care and safety. We will end class by enjoying a small meal inspired by the vegetables we prep in class, as well as a glass of wine or a beer. Students will take home their prepped vegetables as well as a recipe to recreate at home.

Note on equipment: This class is "bring your own knife." We will have some extra chef knives on hand, but the expectation is that each student brings an approximately 8-inch classic chef’s knife to work with in class.

Note on class times: We are offering two sessions of this class, the first from 1pm-3pm, and the second from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Select the ticket for the class time you prefer.
