SPACE/TIME with MANDALAand CHATTERBOX
We have SPACE. We have TIME. Let’s put them together to create something better!
The City Reliquary wants to explore the endless possibilities of SPACE/TIME with you - we are hosting the first of many in a concert and variety series to directly benefit our community, artists, and extraordinary nonprofit museum and community arts space!
Join us for "high octane indie rock" with "jangley, articulate patterns" from Mandala, "wicked women, barefoot jams, and universal love" from Chatterbox, and "improvisational garbage dance music with a looper" from Hartbeats.
In addition, to maximize SPACE/TIME, the museum will be completely open for viewing, our resident typewriter poet will be slinging one-of-a-kind poems about anything your little heart desires, we will have a Polaroid photo booth ready to capture your beautiful faces, and a bar with an assortment of tasty drinks and specials for the night.
This is not a virtual event.

SAFETY
We are capping attendance to provide ample space for social distancing. A limited number of people time will be permitted indoors for restrooms, or to browse the museum collections.
Facemasks must be worn at all times indoors. Guests may remove masks outdoors when they are seated or standing still to drink and watch the show. However please put them on when moving around.
Seats will be scattered around and you are free to move or separate them into "pods" to your liking—just be mindful of your neighbors' sightlines and proximity comfort levels.
Hand sanitizer will be available for all.
ACCESSIBILITY
The main entrance and indoor museum are entirely flat, but there are 4 steps up and 4 steps down to the backyard. The backyard is uneven with some platforms, but a paved area near the entrance is available with a view of the stage. Email jacob@cityreliquary.org with any questions or needs, and we'll be happy to figure out if and how we can accommodate.
WHAT IS THE CITY RELIQUARY?
Reliquaries typically house the ostensible bones of dead saints. We house the bones of New York City. From seltzer bottles to schist cores, to roller skates from racially integrated rinks, to a burnt out lightbulb from the Statue of Liberty's torch. These artifacts as the backdrop, we aim to support artists and our Brooklyn community with a plethora of creative and cultural programming.
WHY MEMBERSHIP?
In exchange for your ongoing support as a member, you'll receive free admission to the museum as often as you care to visit, free tickets to all events, free beverages when possible, and—we hope— a tiny New York City historical institution to call your own.
Sustaining monthly memberships help us predict our finances, and survive through and beyond this pandemic. We are entirely volunteer-run and currently have no paid staff. Our community means the world to us, and we would love for you to be a part of it.
If you are not yet a member and buy a ticket, you will be asked after payment if you would like to contribute your ticket price toward membership. What a deal!
WHAT ELSE?
Please come prepared to tip the performers via cash, Venmo, or Cash App.
Drinks can be purchased from our bar with cash or Venmo.
