Rot Diet is a duo comprised of Chris Farstad & Mitch Stahlmann that strives to document the rapid unscheduled disassembly of sound. Previous episodes have featured vintage wind synthesizers, guitar effects pedals, pitch-to-MIDI software, cracklebox, and flute. The music is an exercise in extended technique seeking to abstract expression through technological limitations at the threshold of idiom.
Doug Lynner (US) and Stevie Richards (AU) have combined their experimental music practices periodically in recent years as a way to explore an international musical friendship and unique combinations of synth and sax.
