Zero Parecer is a tribute to RBD and Rebelde, the globally beloved Mexican teen pop act and telenovela of the 2000s. Working outward from Rebelde’s own iconic visual and auditory language, Zero Parecer processes bubblegum culture through soundscape and video collage, creating a frantic, poignant and disorienting multisensory experience. This collection of low tech digital art takes the practice of fan art into an abstract alternate future, a future full of sex, nostalgia, neglect and aggression in equal parts.

Emmet Prieto Webster is a multimedia artist from Los Angeles. He began making visual art by making CD and cassette covers in the backyard punk scene, and now uses free digital tools to make art about the interaction of subculture and identity. He studied Visual Art and Music at UC San Diego and California Institute of the Arts.
