ARTISTS' BIO:
Gaitrie Persaud-Dhumoon: Growing up as a Deaf Guyanese/Canadian, Gaitrie always had a passion for music & performance. She believes you don't have to be hearing to enjoy music - music is already within you, it is the natural rhythm of our being. Her close-knit family influenced her relationship with music; she & her hard-of-hearing brother would attend family gatherings with traditional music & dance. They would sign the lyrics & move to the bass, feeling it within their bodies. As an artist, she has worked with multiple hearing performers creating accessible performances, recently alongside Rosina Kazi of LAL, Christopher Corsini of MDL CHLD (live showcases) and collaborating with an Australian Musician to create Accessible Videos. She is gaining popularity and has been recognized as the top emerging Deaf musician in Canada. Creatively translating lyrics into accessible movement, spoke at Montreal’s POP Music Festival alongside panelist/activist Deaf Rapper Matt Maxey of Definitely Dope.
Acting is her passion that she lives for. She has been involved with different theatres for almost 4 years. She has been involved in a big play "The Two Natashas: Our life in Guyana" with her co actor Natasha Bacchus.

Jaideep Goray: He loves acting and it is his passion. He had been acting since childhood in India. Also, he acted as drag for Toronto Pride, Deaf spectrum and MDL CHLD as well as Deaf interpreter for some events. He narrated Indian folk tales with morals in ASL at ASL cabaret events hosted by Mona Jean Cedar from Los Angeles.

Amar Mangat:
He is a freelancer Deaf Youth Leader as LGBTQ+ youth, He has a passion to become a Deaf interpreter, working in the community and also, he is a teacher of Queer ASL that is coming end of this year and working at the retail store as a customer service support. Amar loves to smile and inspire others by being creative and he has a personal growth on career path and successful. Amar is eager to work with Deaf organization teams in the East Coast. He states a self care is one of his priorities. He has been doing Deaf Interpreter for Black Lives Matter, People of Colours and Indigenous events that happened in Vancouver BC and to help out with the community to make it to be love and learn.

Natasha Cecily Bacchus:
She is an athlete and artist, she has so much passion to educate about mental health, deaf advocacy, fitness and physical expression. Throughout her life, Natasha has nurtured her passion for fitness by competing as a professional athlete and securing medal positions in both the Deaf Olympics and Pan Am Olympics as well as many other competitive sporting events. While running was her first passion and a means of emotional release, she used acting as a mode of physical expression and found theatre and film to be the preferred spaces for her to thrive as an actor. She has participated in a number of theatre and film productions and have a strong desire to continue to grow and develop as an artist in these industries, expanding representation to include differently-abled persons and empowering Black Deaf women in Canada to shine on and off the stage.
